GermanTown Baptist Church Murals – the beginning

This is how the murals were executed. I did watercolor paintings 1 inch to 1 foot ratio. The crew that painted the actual murals, taped my paintings to the wall and started coping the. The corridors were 170′ long and each side of the halls were depicting the same scene at two points of the compass.
The paintings were lined up in opposing positions so I could determine how they worked together. The white rectangles are where doors, large entryways and passthroughs are located in the halls.

Below are some random selections of my paintings and the actual murals being transposed onto the corridor walls. Someday, I hope to return to see the finished project.
