Maggie McClellan by Maggie McClellan

Commissioned painting of Jim McClellan’s pet, Maggie.  Jim and his family along with Maggie live(d) in San Francisco, CA.  When Jim McClellan contacted me, he hoped I wouldn’t be insulted by painting a dog who has been named the same as me.   Mr. McClellan discovered my work online and liked my style.  Since we lived on completely opposite sides of the country, I tutored Mr. McClellan in taking photos that would assure the best outcome for his painting.   The Cali lilies are the flowers Maggie loved to be around, as well as the cabin behind her.  The chairs on the porch symbolize Maggie’s owners.
